Varsity Golf vs. Virginia Episcopal School

The Tigers improved their record to 7-1 yesterday with a 162-175 victory over VES at Tuscarora CC. Clayton Moss shot a season best 37 to lead the charge. Also shooting his season best was John Mathena at 40. Steven Hancock turned in his season low at 42. Rounding out the team scoring was Van Patterson at 43. Andy Thomasson at 45 and Robert McTernan 46 also played. This Sunday the 6 qualifiers for the VIC Tourney will travel up near Lexington to play Vista Links in preparation for the big day on 4/28.
Varsity Golf vs. VIC Golf Tournament

The VIC Golf Tournament took place on Monday, May 7, at Goodyear Golf Course. The tigers finished third in a field of 13. Carlisle won with a score of 312. VES squeezed by HMA by 3 strokes, 348 to 351, to come in second. Fourth place went to Fishburne at 358. Other schools participating were: Covenant 364, Roanoke Catholic 369, Timberlake Christian 377, Westover Christian and Holy Cross at 381, North Cross 407, Eastern Mennonite 408, Liberty Christian 418, and Roanoke Valley who only sent 3 golfers.
