Hargrave wrestlers split with Chatham and Randolph Henry
December 18, 2013
The Tigers traveled to Chatham High School to take on Chatham and Randolph Henry High school in a Tri-Meet. Chatham edged out Hargrave by a score of 42 to 39, but Hargrave handled Randolph Henry 54 to 12.
Tigers have 5 1st place winners in Cody Day Memorial Tournament

The Cody Day Memorial Wrestling Tournament, named in honor of one of Hargrave's former wrestlers was held on this past weekend. Tunstall, Chatham, Randolph Henry, and Fishburne Military School, and Hargrave were competing on the mat for trophy.

On Saturday the Wrestling team traveled to Roanoke to take part in the VIC Tournament. Of the 13 wrestlers who participated, nine placed which led to an overall team placement of 4th.

The Prep national Wrestling Tournament was held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at Lehigh University, February 23-15, 2012. Cawthon and Chase qualified for the tournament by placing in the Top 4 at the State Tournament. Both athletes did an outstanding job this weekend and throughout the year.

Hargrave has a new State Champion! Cadet Nigel Cawthon went a perfect 4-0 with four pins to win the heavy weight State title. All of the wrestlers performed well and the team finished in 10th place overall out of a 33 team field.

This weekend the Tiger Wrestling Team traveled to Roanoke Catholic for the VIC Tournament. At the end of a tough day of competition the Team finished 4th. The team had 7 medalist including 2 1sts, 2 2nds, 2 3rds, and 1 4th. Medalist were as follows
